Who do I contact for support?    Back to Top

Please note: Councils manage their tender process from beginning to end - any questions relating to the tender, eg documents, please contact the council directly via the Forum link.

In order to submit a Forum post you must:

  • be logged in
  • have downloaded specification documents for this Tender
  • the tender must not be closed

Once the documents have been downloaded, from the Tender information page scroll down to view the 'Online Tender Forum' information and click on 'Link to Forum'.

Registering on the LG tender box site allows you to sign into the site and download or upload tender documents and participate in tender forums. Registering with this site does not give you pre-qualified status with any of the councils or public sector entities that advertise their tenders on this site.

Please note: Tender submissions sent to the LG tender box support email account will not be accepted. Tenders sent to this email address are nonconforming. Refer to the tender display page, or your tender documents for instructions detailing how your tender response is to be submitted.

How do I become a registered user of the LG tender box site?    Back to Top

Please note that you must have cookies enabled in your internet web browser in order to register on the LG tender box site. If you do not have cookies enabled you will receive a server error message. Please refer to the wikiHow article How to enable cookies in your internet browser as an example of how to enable cookies in your internet browser.

  1. Click the Register button on the homepage
  2. Accept the Terms & Conditions.
  3. Enter the Name (The full trading name of your business), the ABN (The Australian Business Number), Address including City, State, Country and Postal Code.
  4. Enter the Name and Position details of the person you are registering as the primary contact for your business and provide a Username. This will be used each time that you sign into the site.
  5. Enter an Email Address. Your email address is the primary point of contact for the site. It is used to communicate tender notifications, forum posts and issue registration details. Accounts with invalid email addresses will be removed without notice.
  6. Enter a contact phone Number. Accounts without valid phone numbers will be removed.
  7. Click the Register button.
  8. A system-generated password will be emailed to you confirming your registration. To add new tender email notifications follow the instructions provided in this email or refer to How do I add email notifications for tender opportunities?

How do I retrieve my password and/or username?    Back to Top

Click on the Forgotten password? link on the LG tender box home page.
Or click the sign in button and look for the link If you have forgotten your password, Click Here to retrieve it.

Enter the first name, last name and email address listed for your account and click Retrieve Password. Username and password details will be sent to your email address.

How do I download tender documents?    Back to Top

To download tender documents from the LG tender box you must be a registered user and signed into the site. The method available to download tender documents from the site is the Zip method.

How do I lodge a tender response electronically?    Back to Top

To upload an electronic response to a tender on the LG tender box you must be a registered user and signed into the site.

There is a 100MB total upload limit for all tender responses and it is suggested that each file should be no larger than 15MB to 20MB in size.

Please refer to the How to Download and Upload Tender Documents guide for step by step assistance with the upload process. For further information on the upload process refer to the Tender Response Hints and Troubleshooting Guide.

Please note: Unless you receive a response receipt confirmation number and list of uploaded tender documents your tender submission has not been successful.
The response receipt number will be displayed on the screen once your submission is completed and will also be issued via email.

How do I add New Tender Email Notifications to my account?    Back to Top

  1. Sign into the LG tender box and click the Advanced Search link located in the top right hand comer of the screen.
  2. The Search Criteria must include either Keywords each separated by a comma or Category and Region selections.
  3. In the Save this Search as field, name your search and click Save Search.
  4. Under the Profiles heading you will now see your saved search. To add email alerts to your account for this search click Add Alert.
  5. To save other advanced searches to your profile repeat this process.

Email notifications are provided as a secondary source of notification only for your convenience at no charge. Email notifications should never be used as your primary source of request for tender notification and do not replace the requirement for regular visits to the site and reviews of newspaper tender sections.

Local Buy accepts no liability whatsoever for any losses, claims, damages, costs or expenses which may arise (whether directly or indirectly) as a result of or in connection with having incorrectly set up email notifications, email notifications not being received due to any technical issues or failure to otherwise be informed about, or to submit a response to, a request for tender (or other procurement process). You should not rely entirely on email notifications. It is your responsibility to check the site regularly for any requests for tenders you may have missed that might be applicable to your business.

Please Note: Keywords entered will only be matched with words in the Tender Title or Description and not with tender categories or words/phrases in the tender documents themselves.

How do I remove/unsubscribe New Tender Email Notifications from my account?    Back to Top

  1. Sign into the LG tender box and click the Advanced Search link located on the top right hand corner of the page.
  2. Under Profiles click Remove Alert.
  3. To delete the search entirely click the Trash can icon.

Please note this will only remove New Tender Email Notifications from your LG tender box account. Your account will still be active and you will still receive Tender Forum Post or Tender Details Modified emails for any specific tender for which you have downloaded tender documents.

If you have downloaded tender documents for a specific tender on the LG tender box site you will receive any Tender Forum Post or Tender Details Modified emails that are issued for this tender to keep you up to date with the latest information released about the tender.

If you are no longer interested in responding to a particular tender you can unsubscribe from all email notifications in relation to that tender only. To do this you need to click on the link If you no longer wish to receive any notifications for this tender click on the link Unsubscribe, this link can be found in any Tender Forum Post or Tender Details Modified email you have received for the tender.

PLEASE NOTE: Unsubscribing from Tender Forum Post and Tender Details Modified emails for a tender means you will no longer receive any emails about this tender which may contain important information relevant to your tender response.
To reactivate these notifications, please download the tender Specification Documents for the tender again.

Your account will still be active on the LG tender box site and you will still receive New Tender Email notifications, if set up for your account. You will also still receive Tender Forum Post or Tender Details Modified emails for any other tenders for which you've downloaded tender documents. This action will only unsubscribe notifications from the particular tender you have selected.

  1. Sign into the LG tender box and go to the Admin tab
  2. Click either Edit My Details or Edit My Business
  3. Add or remove details as required
  4. Click Save Changes before navigating away from this page to ensure all changes are kept

The website does not support multiple registrations of a business. If your business already exists on the LG tender box during the registration process you will be prompted to join the business by clicking Join this business.

If, during the registration process you receive a warning saying your name and/or email address already exists on the LG tender box you can retrieve your sign in details via the Forgotten password? link.

OR

If you are not already registered, for example your name may match another registered user of the LG tender box or you are using a shared business email address you can override the warning by scrolling to the bottom of the screen and re-clicking Register.


If your Username already exists you must change this to another username to proceed.

What is APET 360Pro and how do I register?    Back to Top

The APET 360Pro site is a separate site from the LG tender box and is not support by the help desk. Your LG tender box sign in details will not work for the APET 360Pro site.
