Description

Whitsunday Regional Council (Council) is seeking to appoint a preferred Supplier for the provision of an integrated parking and infringement management system (parking solution) including associated maintenance services for a period of 5 years with two (2) 12-month extensions at Council’s Discretion.

The new parking solution will improve customer experience for users of Council’s off-street paid carparks, particularly with the current high demand for parking and major redevelopment projects within Airlie Beach.

This solution will include the replacement of all existing parking machines with new more reliable machines and the introduction of a pay by app option. The number of parking machines will be reduced to one (1) per off-street carpark due to the improved flexibility of carpark users to pay at a conventional parking machine or by app via their smart phone or tablet.

New upgraded parking machines and the ability to pay by app from a smart phone or tablet will be available at the following Council off street paid parking locations:

  • Coconut Grove Car Park;
  • Abell Point Car park;
  • Broadwater Car Park;
  • Airlie Beach Lagoon Car Park
  • Port of Airlie Car Park.

The parking solution should allow future seamless integration with smart technology and innovation to enable more efficient management of the paid parking business as well as improving customer experience. This includes user interface, payment platforms as well as support and maintenance. An existing priority is to introduce mobile enforcement technology that extends to cross divisional applications within Council.
