Whitsunday Water & Waste (a business unit of Whitsunday Regional Council) (Council) is responsible for the provision of quality, cost effective and environmentally sustainable operations of the water supply and sewage schemes for a population greater than 35,000 across the Whitsundays region.

Water assets include 14,760 connections, 4 water treatment plants, 464 km of water mains, 18 water pump stations, 19 bores and 25 reservoirs with a total storage capacity of 49.77 ML.

Sewerage assets include 11,390 connections, 4 sewage treatment plants, 78 sewage pump stations, 362 km of sewage mains and 2 recycled water schemes.

The total volume of wastewater treated per year is 3057 ML and the total volume of recycled water consumed is 403 ML.

Council is looking to engage an experience and qualified Contractor for regular, consistent servicing of all blowers, compressors, air receivers, air dryers and associated equipment across its Water and Wastewater
Treatment sites.

This contract will be for a period of twelve (12) months with an additional 2 x 12-month extension at Council’s discretion
