This page displays the details of a tender. See the detailed help in each section for specific information.
Maranoa Regional Council invites suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to submit a fixed price and schedule of rates pricing and supporting documentation for the construction of Amby Town Bore 2.
The requirement for a new bore located in Amby has arisen from the poor quality of the water from the existing bore. It is hoped that drilling a new bore into the Mooga Aquifer will resolve this issue. This bore is located at the water treatment plant at Creek Street. This bore will become the new production bore and the old bore will become a backup supply in case of emergencies only.
Works to be carried out under this project comprise the drilling, casing, cementing, developing and testing of one (1) town water production bore for the Maranoa Regional Council’s Amby Town Water Supply, using suitable drilling plant and equipment.
All construction works are to:
- be completed in a competent and professional manner and in compliance with the Tender documents (including this Specification);
- comply with the Queensland Department of Resource and Mines (DNRM) publication titled Minimum Construction Requirements for Water Bores in Australia (Edition 3 Revision February 2012 ref: ISBN 1 978-0-646-56917-8).
- comply with the Queensland DNRM publication titled Minimum Standards for the Construction and Reconditioning of Water Bores that Intersect the Sediments of Artesian Basins in Queensland – December 2017; and
- comply with any other publication and reference material or fact sheet as determined relevant by DNRM.
