Ipswich City Council are seeking tenders to engage a suitable insurance broker to provide brokerage Services to Council, inclusive of insurance policy placement. The successful Tenderer will be required to work alongside Council’s Corporate Services branch under the terms and conditions of a Professional Services Contract, in delivering the following brokerage Services:

 Determining insurance policies required;

 Seeking quotes for required insurance policies;

 Providing advice to Council surrounding insurance policies;

 Placement of required insurance policies;

 Claims management support and guidance;

 Brokering and insurance placement services supplied on an ‘as required’ or ‘ad hoc’ basis;

 Ensuring that Council’s insurance portfolio is fully underwritten by reliable and authorised insurers; and

 Ensuring that Council’s insurance products fully comply with relevant legislation including, but not limited to, Local Government Act 2009 (QLD), Insurance Act 1973 (COM) and Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (COM).
