Southern Downs Regional Council operates a network of waste facilities across its region including the Stanthorpe and Warwick Landfills. Council wishes to explore alternative funding arrangements for potential waste transfer stations at both Stanthorpe and Warwick as well as management options to continue landfilling at Warwick. Council is looking to increase waste diversion and promote recycling as per its recently released Waste Strategy.
Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from relevant organisations with regard to
- Building, financing and operating a new Stanthorpe Waste Transfer Station
- Building, financing and operating a new Warwick Waste Transfer Station
- Management of the Warwick Landfill;
