The Yarwun Wastewater Treatment Plant (YWWTP) is located at 87 Reid Road, Yarwun, about 9 km north-west of Gladstone CBD. Yarwun WWTP receives flows generated from nearby industrial facilities that are domestic in nature. Although the plant does not treat industrial wastewater and no septage or other tankered wastes are received at the Yarwun WWTP, the composition of the raw wastewater treated at the WWTP has carbon to nutrient ratios that are less than typically expected in domestic wastewater.
An assessment of the current plant has identified a need for upgrade and refurbishment and GRC requires suitably qualified Contractors to complete the design and construction works for that upgrade and refurbishment.
The works to be performed under this Contract comprise the design, provision of all materials, plant, labour and the performance of all operations of whatever kind necessary required to upgrade the secondary treatment process through a new package plant, expand the irrigation scheme, and refurbish, (and where necessary) replace equipment to be retained in the waste water treatment process train.
